A Prestigious Honor: My Multilingual Experience at WAES 2025.

I am thrilled to share my experience as a special protocol interpreter, French resource person, and translator at the West Africa Economic Summit (WAES) 2025, held at the iconic Bola Ahmed Tinubu International Conference Center in Abuja, Nigeria. This prestigious event, hosted by H.E. President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, brought together esteemed delegates from across West Africa and beyond, including Benin Republic, Togo, Ghana, Liberia, Sierra Leone, and Côte d’Ivoire.
As a proud language professional, I was honored to be part of this significant event, facilitating communication and connection among fellow colleagues and delegates. I would like to extend my gratitude to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, under the leadership of H.E. Amb. Tuggar Maitama, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Nigeria, for making this event a resounding success.
The summit was a fantastic opportunity to network, share expertise, and learn from fellow language professionals, including esteemed senior colleagues like Prof. Tijani Muftau, Dr. Joseph Adigwe, Mr. Emmanuel Chika, and many more. I am grateful for the experience and the chance to contribute to the success of this important event.
