Breaking Language Barriers: My Experience as an Official French-English Interpreter in Togo Republic

I’m thrilled to share my exciting experience as an official French-English interpreter for World Renew, a global faith-based NGO, at their event in Lome, Togo Republic. From July 14th to 17th, 2025, I had the privilege of working with participants from Togo, Mali, Niger, Nigeria, Senegal, and Canada, facilitating meaningful discussions on gender equality, gender-based violence, and transformation.
Despite the short notice, I was able to deliver exceptional interpretation services, receiving outstanding feedback from participants. This experience not only allowed me to practice my skills but also deepened my understanding of the importance of connection and passion in interpretation. As an interpreter, it’s not just about the job; it’s about understanding the people, their background, and the organization’s mission.
I’m grateful for the opportunity to contribute to the event’s success and appreciate the organizers and participants for their support.
