Empowering Nutrition Development in Africa: My Experience as a Conference Interpreter

As a conference interpreter, I’ve had the privilege of working on various projects that have broadened my perspective and deepened my understanding of critical issues affecting our continent. Recently, I had the honor of serving as a conference interpreter at the African Union’s Regional Stakeholder Consultation for Africa on the Development of the African Regional Nutrition Strategy (2026-2035) in Abuja, Nigeria.
From September 22nd to 25th, I worked alongside esteemed delegates from West and Central Africa, facilitating meaningful discussions on nutrition development. It was an incredible opportunity to contribute to a cause that impacts millions of lives across the continent. The event was a testament to the power of collaboration and the importance of effective communication in driving progress.
I’m grateful to the African Union, AUC, UNICEF, Nutrition International, and my fellow interpreters for making this event a success.
